As I am sure you all know, my favorite actor, a Commander of the order of the British Empire Brian Cox, was signed on to do the voice of the lion in the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. I was almost tempted to go see it because that would mean he would be yelling at a bunch of yellow bellied kids.As you may or may not know however, Mr. Cox was cut from the film and replaced by Liam Neeson, who has no ferocity whatsoever. Could you really see Mr. Neeson in an alcoholic stupor yelling at some 6 year old kid? Of course not.
According to press releases Mr. Cox left on his own accord due to "scheduling differences" which in Hollywood witch talk is indiciferably vague. I know Brian Cox and he wouldn't pass up a fat cheque from Disney. I believe this to be a conspiracy of the grandest sort and I intend to find out why. So I am off to tape an X on my window.
